A Guide to Support You in Your Time of Need
Death can occur at any moment so remember to follow our guide to ensure a seamless process.
• Immediately call us at +65 8866 3326 so we can guide you through the entire process while making the necessary arrangements.
• If death occurs at home, we can arrange for a doctor to certify it or you can contact your doctor of choice for a house call.
• A Certificate of Cause Of Death (CCOD) will be issued if the death is certified.
• If the doctor cannot certify the death, you will need to contact the police to arrange for the body to be sent to the HSA Mortuary at SGH Block 9 in a police hearse.
• Once the CCOD has been obtained, A family member can go to the nearest police station to change the original death certificate.
• If death occurs in the hospital, the hospital will provide the CCOD and the original death certificate. We will then help you with the remaining procedures.
• If death occurs overseas, we can promptly assist with repatriation and the necessary documentation.

Memorial Funeral is pleased to announce that it will be providing free funeral services to those in need, driven by
the conviction that every individual in our society is entitled to a respectful farewell. We collaborated with
charitable organizations to offer pro bono or free funeral services to families, while ensuring that a respectful
process is maintained.
The pro bono services will be applicable to straight-to-cremation processes only. The welfare organisation will offer
a coffin donation and Memorial Funeral will assist in arranging the entire cremation process at no cost to the
family.
There is no quota allotment. Any family in need interested in the pro bono services can call the 24/7 hotline (+65
8866 3326) to apply. The dedicated staff will be happy to assist with next steps.
